Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Massive Monster have announced that their recent title, Cult of the Lamb, has sold over one million copies. I’ve actually found more good games that weren’t popular at first raging loop was a very good visual novel, and Dusk Diver was a nice beat ‘em up. 13 July 2023 17:02:41 UTC (2 days ago) Last Change Number. I think the height was elden ring where game journalist gave up and just rubber stamped it with all tens. It makes it feel more akin to an early access release, rather than the final 1.0 push, with players being roped in as involuntarily bug testers. Evgeny Obedkov Tags: Cult of the Lamb, Massive Monster Just seven days after its launch, Cult of the Lamb has reached a huge milestone. Cult of the Lamb was getting a lot of favorable press well before launch. But it’s a little worrying that we’re getting used to bugs of this magnitude being fixed post-launch rather than while the game is still in development. Cult of the Lamb has already amassed over a million sales in the first week of its crusade, for good reason. It’s not causing user scores to dip on Metacritic or Steam, with over a million players already dipping their toes into this world, so I’ve no doubt developer Massive Monster will get around to fixing these problems and then some. Cult of the Lamb casts players in the role of a possessed lamb saved from annihilation by an ominous stranger and must repay their debt by building a loyal following in his name. This could be down to it being an indie rather than a decade-long triple-A hype machine as in the case of Cyberpunk 2077, but game-breaking bugs are game-breaking, no matter the title. It’s nice to see that the devs aren’t being bombarded with hate, but even warranted critique feels absent. I’m not sure what pushed the tolerance up so high, but the subreddit isn’t exploding in anger toward these bugs as is unfortunately often the case - they’re being turned into memes and discussions, paralleling the game’s wholesome horror. In conversations about the game’s brilliance, bugs are often swept under the rug as an expectation, which is where things get confusing. ![]()
